Ceremonial Cacao
Arriba Nacional — Ecuador
Heirloom cacao from Ecuador, grown in agroforestry systems.
Arriba Nacional is prized globally for its naturally complex profile and soft acidity. ĀKĀŚA cacao is sourced with care, with a focus on quality, traceability, and purity — with nothing added.
Tasting Notes
Earthy and full-bodied, with natural bitterness and gentle warmth.
Subtle notes of nuts, soft florals, and a light creaminess may emerge depending on preparation.
Flavour will vary with temperature, ratio, and attention.
Preparation
Cacao can be prepared simply with water or plant milk.
Around 20g is often sufficient for a daily cup.
Up to 40g creates a more concentrated preparation.
A small amount of honey or agave may be added, if preferred.
Our signature blend incorporates blue lotus tea and rose oil.
The recipe can be found here.
In Practice
Cacao can be incorporated into daily routines or prepared more deliberately.
There is no required structure.
It can be woven into a quiet morning, an afternoon pause, or a more intentional practice.
Format
The 1kg format is provided as a solid block, while the 250g format is offered as smaller pieces and granules.
Natural variation in colour and texture may occur and does not affect quality.
Best before dates reflect optimal flavour and aromatic profile rather than product safety. When stored correctly in a cool, dry place, ceremonial cacao remains stable well beyond this period.
Composition
Cacao contains theobromine, magnesium, and a range of naturally occurring compounds.
Often experienced as gently stimulating and grounding, it can be incorporated as part of a considered daily rhythm.
