Blue Lotus & Rose — Signature Cacao

YIELDS: 1 SERVING

Blue Lotus · Rose · Honey

This preparation brings together a considered trifecta of heart-opening plants, anchored by cacao itself—long valued as both a gentle and potent heart opener, supporting warmth, presence, and subtle emotional clarity.

Blue lotus is traditionally associated with soft expansion and inner alignment, often experienced as a quiet opening through the body’s central axis. Rose, revered across cultures, offers a deeply refined aromatic quality—its essential oil considered one of the most concentrated expressions of the flower, both uplifting and softening to the emotional field. Honey completes the blend as a natural expression of devotion and transformation—the crystallisation of nectar, gathered through the labour of bees and offered as a source of warmth and integration.

Ingredients

  • 20g ceremonial cacao

  • 250ml freshly brewed blue lotus tea (1 whole blue lotus flower)

  • ½ tablespoon honey

  • 1 drop food-grade rose essential oil (alternatively, a few dried rose buds may be brewed alongside the blue lotus tea)

Preparation

1. Begin by preparing the blue lotus tea. Place one whole flower in a vessel and pour over freshly boiled water. Cover with a plate and allow to steep for 10 minutes, preserving the delicate aromatic compounds.

Roughly chop the cacao and place it into a blender. Pour over the strained blue lotus infusion while still warm. Add the honey and a single drop of rose essential oil.

Blend gently for a few seconds until smooth and emulsified.

If using a bullet-style blender, ensure the liquid has cooled slightly before blending to avoid pressure build-up.

Alternatively, finely chop or grate the cacao and warm it slowly with the blue lotus tea in a saucepan, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon until fully melted and integrated. Add the honey and rose at the end, stirring to combine.

To Serve
